It's a rainy Wednesday morning here at the office. Woke up today with the sky gray... Rushed to get ready to walk to the LRT. I didn't want the rain to catch me.
When I was younger, I have always loved the rain. I love looking out the window and just letting my thoughts pass by. There's something in the rain that always makes me feel free and at peace.
Rain always brings me back to the time when I was younger. I remember being outside with friends. Biking, rollerblading, scootering (is there even such a word?), skateboarding, whether this was just down the street or all the way to the park. There was this one summer that I won't forget. It was La Nina at the time. Our pool was broken and it was only filled half way, but that summer we didn't care that our pool was green and dirty or that it was half filled. We played in that pool everyday under the rain after a run from the park or YJ and Yvette's place or Leah's place, we always ended up swimming in that pool.
I remember tying a rope around a tree near the edge of the pool, and with swing from that and jump to the pool or just use the rope to climb up the pool at the supposed deep end. Or playing with our kickboards and thinking they were surfboards. I felt like a pro surfer. The board wasnt even floating up. It was just sliding down the floor of the pool. HAHAHA.
Man that was a great summer. I wish I were still living those days, where everything seemed so easy and carefree.
Now, this is me. Back at the office. Blogging. HAHA. sooo carefreee....
HAHAH. oh well. Back to my book.
